Help Us Be Ready To Help!
Hurricane Melissa is now a Category 5, aiming squarely for Jamaica. Spirit At The Beach Foundation predominantly serves the folks at the bottom of the economic food chain here; the beach vendors, teachers in small schools, tiny organizations in need of volunteers.
Many of these people are still recovering from Hurrican Beryl last year. As we prepare for Hurrican Melissa we are calling for you to open your wallets and help us help others.
In the aftermath of the storm there will be legions of hands, needing to gather zinc that has flown off houses, using it to create makeshift roofs for those totally exposed by the first salvo. We need to fund those people.
Many beach vendors will lose their entire inventory, Some will lose their homes as well. Spirit At The Beach needs to help those people with the means to start again through both grants and micro-loans.
Dozens of small schools will lose virtually everything. We need to be ready to fly in books and suppplies at the earliest possible moment to help children feel a small sense of normality.
Many of these people will be without power and some water, for months. We are determined to help ease their suffering as they find their way forward.
PLEASE GIVE WHAT YOU CAN AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN. YOUR ONE-TIME DONATION OF EVEN $10 WILL CHANGE A LIFE. SUSTAINED, MONTHLY DONATIONS WILL HELP BRING PEOPLE THROUGH THE LONG HAUL. ANYTHING YOU CAN GIVE WILL HELP CHANGE SOMEONE'S EXPERIENCE AND IS MOST APPRECIATED. PLEASE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SHARING THIS LINK WITH OTHERS.
Small things make a Big difference.
We All Want To Help
Yet, in the busy-ness of our daily lives, the gap between good intentions and possibilities is often a bridge too far.
Then, vacationing on a sandy beach in an emerging country, we see the promise and the need in so many lives. We see their struggle and feel the desire to make a difference. Focusing on tourist destinations, where resources for the local population are often lacking, Spirit At The Beach Foundation supports and creates projects designed to help us lift each other up in meaningful and lasting ways. Our emphasis is on projects that can produce relatively quick results as well as sustainable solutions...Small things making a Big difference.

Want to spend a day or an hour of your vacation time lending a hand? Spirit At The Beach is working to provide local Community Calendars as well as direct referrals to put your willing hands to work. Repair a fence. Spend the day in a soup kitchen. Plant a garden. Help with social media. Everyone can do something. Coming December 2025
Through our E-Books for Teachers program we are supplying passionate educators with tools, and books they need to continue inspiring the brilliant youth of developing countries. Do your part to fuel the young minds of the future. Your tax-deductible donation can provide thousands of titles, hardware and technical support, opening new worlds of literature to those who don't have access. We are currently working with teachers in Westmoreland and Hanover Parishes in Jamaica.

Eliminating barriers to entry while creating infrastructure to support the smallest businesses facilitates a path toward building generational wealth. Spirit At The Beach supports the creative instincts of local artisans by providing materials, tools and training. We are working with several makers on 7-Mile Beach, Negril, Jamaica to introduce new, handmade products.
Through art we experience connection that transcends language and culture. In a moment we are "touched." Our Heart To Art programs focus on providing artists with greater exposure for commercial success. This includes facilitating participation in online platforms by pairing artists with volunteer photographers and tech assistance. We are currently working on photography to launch our first artist. Donations In Action
Teachers are using e-books and projectors in multiple ways and places, reaching so many children. "...I just want to say a big thank you for the projector. At the police youth club this afternoon they had some difficulty. They wanted the students to read and Booom! I rushed for the projector." ~Nadine, Teacher Negril, Westmoreland
Mrs. Swaby, of Elite Prep School, introduces students to the concept of e-books and how their reading experience and lives are about to change.
